B-Complex (Methylated)
Essential B vitamins in their active methylated forms, supporting energy production, mood, and cognitive function.
B vitamins are essential cofactors for energy metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and methylation. Methylated forms (methylcobalamin, methylfolate) are particularly important for those with MTHFR gene variants. Deficiency is common and affects energy, mood, and cognition.
Essential cofactors for ATP production
Required for making serotonin, dopamine, GABA
Supports critical cellular methylation reactions

Methylated forms are crucial for those with MTHFR variants (40-60% of population). Look for methylcobalamin (B12), methylfolate (B9), and P-5-P (B6).
Minimum: 4 weeks
Optimal: 8 weeks
Cycling: Not required
Note: Take in morning as B vitamins can be energizing and may affect sleep if taken late. Always take with food to reduce nausea.
Reduced fatigue and better energy
Improved mood and mental wellbeing
B2 (riboflavin) colors urine bright yellow
Folate essential for pregnancy; use prenatal vitamins
B12 absorption decreases with age; methylcobalamin preferred
B12 supplementation essential
B6 can reduce levodopa effectiveness
Folate may interfere; consult doctor
Folate may affect levels
Tip: Take with food
Tip: Normal; excess B2 being excreted
Tip: Use niacinamide instead of niacin
Both support energy metabolism
Enhanced energy production and nervous system support
Both support brain health and mood
Comprehensive brain and mood support
B6 is a cofactor for serotonin synthesis
Supports efficient conversion to serotonin
ALA may deplete B vitamins; B1 is especially important
Prevents potential B vitamin depletion
All needed for red blood cell production
Complete anemia prevention/treatment
B vitamins work together in methylation
Optimal methylation cycle support with all B vitamins
B vitamins support SAMe recycling
Optimized methylation cycle
B vitamins are cofactors in catecholamine synthesis
Supports the conversion of tyrosine to neurotransmitters
B6 supports hormone metabolism
Enhanced hormonal balance
For individuals with high stress, neurological concerns, or energy deficits, a high-dose B-complex on top of a standard MVI can provide therapeutic levels of B vitamins that standard MVIs cannot achieve.
Therapeutic B-vitamin levels for enhanced energy metabolism, homocysteine lowering, and cognitive support

Zhang N et al. • The American journal of clinical nutrition (2024)
“Our meta-analysis found that the folic acid combined with vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 supplementation strategy significantly reduced the risk of stroke in areas without and with partial folic acid fortification.”
Zhang L et al. • Nutrients (2024)
“While mandatory FA fortification has the improved folic acid status, additional folate-based B vitamin supplements do not appear to influence cognitive function.”
Young LM et al. • Nutrients (2019)
“B vitamin supplementation may particularly benefit populations who are at risk due to (1) poor nutrient status or (2) poor mood status.”
Berg J et al. • Nutrition reviews (2025)
“The pooled findings indicated there is high-certainty evidence that vitamin B6, B9, or B12 supplementation has a very small benefit on global cognitive function in older adults.”
Wang Z et al. • Nutrition reviews (2022)
“This meta-analysis suggests that B vitamin supplementation is associated with slowing of cognitive decline, especially in populations who received early intervention and intervention of long duration; the study also indicates that higher intake of dietary folate, but not B12 or B6, is associated with a reduced risk of incident dementia in non-dementia aged population.”
