Prescription-only, clinician-titrated, subcutaneous once daily. Diabetes (Victoza): escalate 0.6 → 1.2 → 1.8 mg/day. Weight management (Saxenda): escalate weekly to 3.0 mg/day. DO NOT self-dose.

• The ORIGINAL AREDS formula (containing beta-carotene) in anyone who currently smokes or has ever smoked — beta-carotene increased lung cancer incidence in ATBC (+18%) and CARET (RR 1.28), and doubled 10-year lung cancer odds in AREDS2 itself (OR 1.82)
• Concurrent use with other beta-carotene or high-dose vitamin A supplements in smokers and former smokers
• Wilson's disease or other copper-overload states (the formula supplies 2 mg copper)

• Other zinc-containing supplements or lozenges
• Copper supplements
• Anticoagulants and antiplatelets (warfarin, DOACs, aspirin)

• Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC)
• Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2)
• Prior serious hypersensitivity to liraglutide or any GLP-1 receptor agonist

• Insulin and sulfonylureas
• Oral medications (general)
• Other GLP-1 receptor agonists
