Exogenous Ketones and MCT Oil are generally complementary — many people take them together. Largely redundant. Pick one route and titrate the dose to GI tolerance rather than stacking.
A cheaper, gentler route to mild ketosis, with its own GI ceiling. Combining adds GI burden from both, and gastrointestinal effects of ketone drinks are dose-dependent.
MCTs raise ketones indirectly via liver metabolism, and far more modestly than a ketone ester — at equal dose they produce less ketosis than D-BHB.
What to do: Largely redundant. Pick one route and titrate the dose to GI tolerance rather than stacking.
