Galactooligosaccharides and Inulin can interact. Different fermentation kinetics across the colon, but the flatulence profiles differ enough that stacking them is not a free addition. Both are FODMAPs. Introduce one at a time so you can tell which one you tolerate. If flatulence is the limiting symptom, the fructan is the more likely culprit.

Both are bifidogenic prebiotics, but inulin is a long-chain fructan fermented more slowly and further along the colon while GOS is a short-chain galactan fermented early. Their tolerability profiles diverge: the meta-analysis in functional bowel disorders found inulin-type fructans worsened flatulence while non-inulin-type prebiotics improved it.
